The mission of Crimson Cardinal Press is to support and advocate for literacy in our community while supporting and celebrating books where readers can see themselves. My hope is to publish untold stories, especially those of underrepresented writers.
Meet sylvia Sanchez Garza
Sylvia Sánchez Garza grew up in Weslaco, Texas and now lives in Edinburg with her family. She enjoys the Rio Grande Valley's culturally rich and beautiful border community. As a former teacher and current school board member, she values education. She holds a BA in English, an MA in Education, an MFA in Creative Writing, and a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies. Her works include Cascarones, a coming-of-age novel, Awaken, a poetry collection, her short story, Ojo, published in Living Beyond Borders, and two poetry anthologies. She is looking forward to her soon-to-be-released young adult novel, Ghost Brother, published by Arte Publico Press.
